Artist's Statement
My natural love of art was fostered by my mother, who is an
artist and a teacher. Exposed early on to several mediums
including watercolor, charcoal, acrylic, and pastel, my love
became acrylic painting.
With vivid color and heavy texture, my impressionistic works
reflect my South Dakota roots. Drawn to timeless images of
inherent beauty, strength, and grace, the prairie beckons me to
action. My brush, my voice, my canvas, my verse, there for all
who stop to listen.

Prairie Whisper
Wheat of yellow ochre,
Barns of weathered red.
The purest phalo blue floats softly overhead.
A field of fertile green, stretched beyond my sight . . .
Meets only with the sun to say goodmorning and goodnight.
Twisted wire fence accompanies the road,
A path worn over time, that leads my heart to home.
Rusted iron blades turn steady in the breeze,
Echoed by the rustle of the oak with all it's leaves.
Whispers of the prairie, carried through the wind . . .
May my canvas tell the story and my brush be nature's friend.
